CA Inter Result Sep 2026: Date, Time, How to Check on caresults.icai.org, and What to Do Next

ICAI declared the CA Intermediate September 2026 result on 22 October 2026. If you appeared, your scorecard is a login away. This page covers the toppers, the steps, and a plan for whichever way your result went.

Who topped CA Inter September 2026

Two students share AIR 1: Neel Rajesh Shah from Mumbai and Sakshi Chandak from Nashik. Both scored 502 out of 600, which is 83.67%. Shruti V ranked third with 492 marks.

According to the result analysis ICAI released, 14,818 candidates cleared the exam across Group I, Group II and both groups together.

How to check your ICAI result

1. Open caresults.icai.org.
2. Click the CA Intermediate September 2026 result link.
3. Enter your registration number and roll number.
4. Submit, then download the scorecard and keep a copy.

The site tends to slow down in the first hours after a result. If it hangs, wait a few minutes and try again instead of refreshing repeatedly. Keep your admit card open so both numbers are at hand.

What the scorecard shows

Your marks in each paper, your group-wise totals, and whether you qualified. As far as I know, the standard rule is 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate in a group, but check your scorecard and ICAI’s current notice.

The exams ran from 1 to 12 September: Group I on 1, 3 and 6 September, and Group II on 8, 10 and 12 September.

If you cleared

Register for the next stage and plan your articleship if you haven’t already. Many CA students also study for a degree alongside the CA route, because exams and articleship leave little room for a fixed college timetable.

If you didn’t clear

One result doesn’t decide your career. Most students who miss a group go back for the next attempt, and that’s a sensible call. The useful question this week is what you do with the months before that attempt, because they pass either way.

Some students use the gap to add a second qualification, so the next attempt isn’t carrying all the pressure. A degree that already teaches accounting, taxation and corporate law keeps your CA preparation warm.

One option: B.Com with ACCA alignment at Amity Online

Amity University Online offers a B.Com with a specialisation in International Finance and Accounting, aligned with ACCA. It runs three years across six semesters, is 100% online with live and recorded classes, and is a UGC-entitled degree.

It suits you if:

• You’re a CA aspirant who needs a graduation degree without fixed college hours.
• You cleared Inter and want a parallel degree with an international accounting credential in view.
• You want ACCA as a second path next to CA.

It is probably not the right fit if you want a campus experience or plan to leave accounting altogether.

How Educollege can help you decide

Educollege is a student counselling platform. We work directly with partner universities, including Amity, so you get answers on fees, eligibility and syllabus from people who handle these admissions, not from a generic form.

A short call can cover three things: whether the programme fits your CA timeline, what it costs against what’s included, and what happens if you later change your mind.
