Class 12 time table 2027
| Date | Subject |
|---|---|
| 3 March | Tamil |
| 8 March | English |
| 12 March | Chemistry, Geography |
| 15 March | Statistics |
| 19 March | Biology, Botany |
| 23 March | Physics |
| 29 March | Maths, Zoology |
This covers the main subjects. Commerce, vocational and other papers are in the official PDF, so check it for your group.
The gaps between papers are uneven. Chemistry to Biology is seven days, but Biology to Physics is four. Maths and Zoology close the series on 29 March, so students who take them have the longest wait for their last paper.
Class 10 (SSLC) time table 2027
| Date | Subject |
|---|---|
| 17 March | Tamil and other languages |
| 25 March | English |
| 31 March | Mathematics |
| 5 April | Science |
| 9 April | Social Science |

After English the gaps shrink: six days to Maths, five to Science, four to Social Science and three to the optional language. Social Science needs the most memorising, so it is worth starting it while Science revision is still going on.
Is there a Class 11 public exam in 2027?
Only for arrear candidates. Tamil Nadu stopped holding Class 11 public exams for regular students from the 2025-26 session under its State Education Policy, and the 2026 Class 11 schedule was also arrear-only. Regular Class 11 students sit school-level exams. The 5 March to 1 April window applies to students who are clearing earlier papers.
How this year compares with 2026
The 2026 timetable came out on 4 November 2025, so this one is about three weeks earlier. Class 12 starts one day later than last year (3 March against 2 March) and ends three days later. Class 10 starts six days later (17 March against 11 March) and ends six days later (12 April against 6 April).
Some websites still show an earlier expected window of 11 March to 6 April for Class 10. The official dates are the ones above.

Planning beyond the exam
Class 12 ends on 29 March, and degree decisions follow soon after. Students who want to study while working, or who can’t move to another city, can look at online BBA and BCA programmes from UGC-approved universities. A Class 12 pass is the entry requirement.
EduCollege counsellors can explain eligibility, fees and university options, including LPU, Amity, Bennett and IGNOU. Class 10 students can also ask which streams lead to which degrees before choosing one.
