Sector 62 location actually changes how accessible industry is day-to-day
The placement process at JIIT is more structured than I expected from a private college. The T&P Cell starts prep sessions from third year — aptitude, DSA, system design, mock interviews. Atlassian came on campus and the preparation had been exactly right for their interview format. The campus being in Sector 62 is genuinely useful — I did my internship at a company three km from college.

ECE core placement track is solid — funded research made my resume stand out
ECE at JIIT doesn't get as much attention as CSE, but the core electronics placement track is solid. Intel, Qualcomm, and Broadcom all came to campus. My final-year project was part of a funded DST research project, which made my resume stand out in interviews.

Sector 128 placement is the same — what matters is your own preparation
I was initially disappointed about being allocated to Sector 128 instead of Sector 62, but the placement process is the same for both campuses. ZS Associates, Genpact, and Capgemini came to both. What matters most at JIIT is how seriously you take your own preparation.

M.Tech research environment is underrated — got into IIT Delhi PhD
I joined M.Tech at JIIT after GATE specifically because of the research environment. I was involved in a SERB-funded project in my first semester, got two conference papers published. The Ramanujan HPC centre access was critical for my computational work. My GATE rank for IIT would have required another attempt — JIIT gave me the research profile to go directly.
