In June 2026, Rajasthan's Higher Education Department imposed a temporary hold on new admissions at Mewar University following a state investigation into alleged fake-degree issuance, after which several university office-bearers were arrested by the Special Operations Group (SOG). A Rajasthan High Court interim order dated 18 June 2026 has since permitted admissions for the 2026–27 academic session to continue while the matter proceeds.
Admissions are currently open, but the underlying investigation has not concluded. We recommend independently verifying the current status directly with Mewar University's admissions office before making any payment.
